About Ascot Racecourse
Ascot Racecourse is one the most famous Brittish racecourses located in the heart of Berkshire in the town of Ascot. The racecouse is one of the premier courses holding 9 of the Uunied kingdoms 32 annual group 1 races. Only Newmarket holds the same volume of races of this quality. The Royal family often frequent the racecourse and the racecourse is owned by the crown estate. Ascot holds 25 days of racing over the racing year, this is made up of 16 flat meetings from May to October. The Royal meeting is one of the most prestigiuos highlight the Ascot Gold Cup in the flat racing season is held in June with the King George V1 and Queen Elizabeth Stakes run over the course in July.
Ascots History
Ascot Racecouse is one of the most famous racecourses in the world. Ascot was first founded in 1711. The first ever race was the "Her Majesty's Plate" and was held on the 11th August 1711. The race was run by 7 horses eash carrying a weight of 12 stones. The Race was 4 seperate 4 mile heats.
In 1813 the British Parliment formed and passed an act to ensure that the racecourse would continue to remain a public racecourse. In 1913 same parliment passed a sect act creating the Ascot Authority. This is an entity, the manages the racecourse
Ascot Racecourse was redeveloped in 2004, funded by tge Allied Irish Bank, it cost 185 Million and took 22 months to complete. Queen Elizabeth reopened the racecourse in June 2006. The development was criticised by racegowers complaining that the reaccourse has lost its true Horse racing tips feeling, because it did not provide sufficient rasied veiwing area for the horse racing tipsters, and a 10 million pound programme to develop the the terraces to create more spectator space was created and completed.
Ascot Special Events
Royal Acot is the main event at Ascot racecourse. Royal Ascot is one of the worls most famouse race meeting and is attended by the Queen of England arriving each day in the horse drawn carriage. It is a major event in the British social calander The attendents to the royal enclosure pay particular attention to the dress coade of the racecourse, which involves men in formal dress and top hats and ladies must not shown bare midriffs or shoulders and must wear hats. Over 300'000 people attend Berkshire during Royal Ascot week, making this Europe's best attended race meeting.
Royal Ascot consists of 16 group races with at least 1 event each day of the week. The Ascot Gold cup in on Ladies Day, the Thursday. The prize fund is over 3 millions pounds sterling is a great opportunity to make good money investing on horse racing tips

Ascot Racecourse is a Right handed triangle, galloping and stiff course with few undulations, just over 2 1/2 furlons run in Straight mile and round mile.All races upto 7 F are ran on the straight course. The hurdle and chase courses are right handed with galloping with stiff fences a circuit is 1m 5F.

How to find Ascot Racecourse
By road:
From London and the North M4 Junction 6 onto the A332 Windsor bypass and follow the signs to Ascot
From the West
M4 Junction 10 on the A329(M) signed to Bracknell and follow the signs to Ascot
From the South and East
M3 Junction 3 onto the A322 signed to Bracknell and follow the signs to Ascot
From the Midlands
M40 southbound, Junction 4. Take the A404 towards the M4 (Junction 8/9). On the M4 head towards Heathrow/London. Leave M4 at Junction 6 and follow A332 Windsor by-pass to Ascot. NB: Please note that a one-way system is in operation around the racecourse during Royal Ascot that is best approached from the North. All visitors are advised to arrive as early as possible and before 12.00 midday at the latest during Royal Ascot week to avoid delays.
By rail:
There is a frequent service to Ascot from both Reading and London Waterloo. The average journey time is 27 minutes from Reading and 46 minutes from Waterloo. Regular services also run from Guildford. The railway station is a seven-minute walk from the racecourse.
